No, Loofah, it's only the Leader of a Political Party, in a General Election, that has the Mandate if that Party is the winner, but that Polical Party has the ability, internally, to bring their Leader to book should he/she not carry it out.
So should that Leader resign then it doesn't pass on to next Leader even if winning the internal Party Leadership vote..............and as was pointed out Nicola Sturgeon took over the SNP leadership without even a Leader Competition vote taking place..........that's SNP democracy for you.

I always switch the sound off when ever he appears, loli, he just turns my stomach.:rolleyespink:

@shiney attendees will be expected to discuss important issues of the day, including the county’s best walls to sit on and new, exciting ways to suck on a piece of straw.:lunapic 130165696578242 5:

Fair play to BoJo - send a letter to Tusk explaining why the UK can't have a back stop - Tusk tows the line and rejects Boris's overture - result - no deal brexit and the EU are to blame for not engaging with the UK.

                          Very clever...

Haven't the UK already said that in the event of no deal - there will be no tariffs on goods flowing across from Ireland to Northern Ireland - so no need for a border from the UK side - if there is a border - it's for goods flowing into Ireland - again the EU are to blame.

The other thing is that while waiting in the Village Idiots queue is that, when bored, the whole queue starts dancing doing the "Aye, Aye, a' Conga, Aye, Aye, a' Conga"

Well, it seems that there is more "trouble at Mill" for the EU as the other rebellious EU member (Italy) has just had their Prime Minister (League Party) resign as the Coalition Party (5 Star Party) which is anti-EU has just withdrawn support for the government which should mean a snap election in which the rebel leader (Mr Salvini) of the 5 Star Party could win. If that happens the EU could have a Italexit on their hands because Salvini detests the EU and has been stirring things up for years. Things are getting interesting as the EU has threatened, in the past, when it was obvious that Italy's oposition parties wanted to leave it, with financial ruin.
