Well, we dumped the W. indies when the EU said we had to grow sugar beet, not sure why.
We still get NZ lamb, but presumably because the season is the opposite to ours, we used to get Argentine beef and Aussie beef.
Dont see Israeli fruit anymore, occasionally Egyptian grapes.

But then we are supposed to eat grass ourselves these days and cut out the middle man, (animal).;)

B & S must have a plant somewhere over there as the literature with my snowblower lists a UK address. I've put the thing away so can't access it for a copy.. sorry about that

Well most companies are pretty multi national these days, but I think it originates in the US.

I blame the EU for all this weather that is too hot! They keep chucking it at us and I'm thinking of building a wall to keep it out.

It gets switched with the lawn mower from the back of the garage in November. Takes up lots of space!

Maybe it's the on/off switch or some other component that was manufactured there...

Well, I'd best get back outside and start on the offset umbrella stand. One of the legs needs to be shortened so me and my hacksaw are going to have a workout :)

oh, and Canadian fruit - our East Coast produces beautiful wild blueberries and apples grow all the way from the Okanagan to the Rock. :)

I remember my old dad saying how badly we treated Australia and New Zealand when we deserted them for the then common market. Now we want their trade!

Our Boris has got the biggest fight with our scrawny, back stabbing, craven MP’s.....don’t they look smaller these days? We would get what we need from the EU if they backed him. At least our local MP is doing that and I have told him so.

I have been impressed with Boris so far......we beat the Aussies didn’t we? We got another scorching bank holiday weekend didn’t we? I think our Boris is calling in a few favours:yay:

I see this morning that Jezza has finally realised that he is so unpopular - he will not win a no confidence vote. Interesting snippet from the beeb:

"And in any case, even if Mr Johnson was faced with being forced to do something against his will, he has the option of calling an election instead."

So BoJo can simply call an election and Brexit will happen in the interim.

Oh the plotters and schemers... Do people care about them now, do we not just want it all done with? If these plots come to fruition and there's another extension I expect rioting in London! There is a definite global absurdity in politics these days and I want it all to move to another era please!

BoJo to ask Queen to suspend Parliament - go Boris go :yay:

Goodness me - a politician who is determined to meet his commitment to get us out on the 31st.

Although of course - this is nothing to do with Brexit - it's just normal procedure for a changed/new Government.

No nothing at all, completely routine and not to take the legs from those who would tie his hands in legal and political knots...

Good for him. Interesting he said .. "It's time a new government and new PM set out a plan for the country after we leave the EU." Is he not planning on sticking around?

At last, we are moving forward to get out of the EU. Now all the Remainers, whatever their agendas, are running around in circles screaming and crying "a dark day for democracy, a democratic outrage", etc. They will never admit that they are themselves a democratic outrage and have been for the last 3 years for ignoring and trying to change the decision of the Referendum.
Now Nicola Sturgeon, who dislikes the status of the Queen and want's to break with the UK Kingdom is now saying that the Queen is the most important figure and must step in to stop the proroguing. My disgust for the lying, double talking, scheming and plotting by those who want to stay in the EU has reached a level that I never thought I would feel. We've all got our own feelings about Politicians who have never been the most trusted or liked of persons but seeing what has happened in the last 3 years I think turned everyone's stomach.
Now the remainers are saying that they don't want to stop BREXIT but just stop a NO DEAL BREXIT...........so they're claiming it's outrageous, undemocratic, a snatching of power, a undemocratic move, and they , our Politicians, represent the people while not admitting that they stopped doing that 3 years ago by their own undemocratic actions of trying to stop the UK from leaving the EU.......bringing Parliament to a political and mental log jam.
At last a Prime Minister not afraid of the opposition, the EU, and taking a bold decision to get us out of the EU as he promised.:love30::love30::hapydancsmil:

                              Hi,

I never become involved in either religion or politics.

If Jesus can be resurrected then I say resurrect Guy Fawkes too.

                              Kind regards, Colin.
