Indirectly, yes, there is a recall process - but, it is lengthy and requires a lot of people in the same area to agree at the same time.

I watch the bbc news programme early mornings before the Breakfast programme.
They always have a guest on there giving their opinion on what's in the papers.

There was one on there this week, not sure who he was, but I think he was a reporter on bbc a long time ago.

He made the statement along the lines of, " we elect MPs and don't expect them to represent us, but expect them to use their own judgement on what is right for us".

With that kind of thinking from the elite we might as well just give up.

IMHO who ever that chap was is talking total 'gentlemens ornaments'...
We are paying their wages and expect them to serve...you can say what you like about JRM but he did say that himself.
On the Racist issue..I'm not racist as I am sure many of the UK/Leavers aren't..but we are a small Island in comparison to 'others' and as far as I'm concerned we should have a whopping great sign up saying ...'Sorry no vacancies we're full'...We've all our water on looking after ourselves and this country is struggling as it is...
What really P's me orf about the EU is the fact many of the immigrants have had to travel through so many countries to get here thanks to Europe waving then on ..go on keep going ..we don't want you to be our problem...Yes I feel for those people but we've enough to be going on with.

I really don't know what is happening in this world, but recently I have found myself agreeing with Piers Morgan, and now George Galloway is making more sense than many of our elected representatives!

He's not as daft as he looks:

Mr Johnson’s advisers have found an obscure facet of EU law which they claim would enable the UK to paralyse the ruling European Commission if we remain beyond the current exit deadline of October 31.

The Commission must have 28 commissioners by November 1, one for each member state.

Mr Johnson will refuse to supply one from Britain. That means the Commission cannot legally constitute itself.

And if the EU tries to reduce the number to 27 so they can begin work, Mr Johnson will use Britain’s veto to stop them.

A No.10 source said: “We will play the EU at their own game and fight fire with fire.”

I don't understand this. The courts and new legislation appear to be saying. Boris is now not to be allowed to leave the EU without a deal. In the event of him going against this, then he could actually go to prison. Surely this can't be right.

My tiny mind is suggesting this would be taking away the freedom of the people, and introducing a form of dictatorship. The EU could sit back for eternity and say NO. We would then be trapped for ever.

In all honesty. I at times imagine the British Public rising up and doing it their way. Truly I don't understand.

I remember the father, Lord Shawcross, of the author of this article (William Shawcross) saying when he retired from politics "I found it utterly tedious to have to conform to the doctrine that it is the duty of the opposition to oppose". That's part of what I think of politicians - the other part is best not put into print.

Lord Shawcross was our leading prosecutor at Nuremburg. An interesting and sometimes contraversial figure but I found him an excellent person to have a conversation with (for quite some years his office was only a couple of doors from Mrs Shiney's office - they worked in the same company).

She should never have been in the cabinet in the first place @wiseowl - so much flip-flop from her it as like Brighton beach. She hasn't exactly done any good for disabled people either - good riddance to her.

Good morning @Fat Controller I agree 100% she showed her true colours when she was the Home secretary for Theresa May and she resigned from that position plus the Windrush scandal which she blatantly lied about:smile:

ps as they say in politics I'm going to the country (side)now:heehee:
