        Ooh...

The Lib Dems would vote for a Brexit deal brought to Parliament by Boris Johnson if it is tied to a fresh referendum, MP Layla Moran told the BBC’s Politics Live programme.

She said: “If that deal was tied to a ratification referendum with the option to remain then we would support it. If he wants to bring that to us now, we’re there.”

I just thought I'd mention that many a time I've heard stories of how Brexit has divided families and friends...WHY !!!!
I know everyone has their own opinions my family and friends included but it certainly hasn't divided us..in fact it's made for some good friendly debates ,lots of banter and some cracking soirees ,so it aint all that bad.

Bully for you. It has caused immense divisions for others because people either see Brexit as potentially causing them harm or doing them some good. Human nature being what it is, most only care about how it will affect them personally. Then you've got the high percentage of the population who are easily influenced by the media and the Press, who can use their disproportionate powers for good, for evil, for profit....and to create scapegoats and smokescreens. Rarely to present unbiased facts.
Just by the simple fact of living in France, I've lost some formerly dear friends in England who are now rabidly anti-everything-European. Not that I've expressed my opinions, far from it, but I've become 'the enemy' As for family, I haven't asked! I'm not going to risk possibly upsetting what relations I've got left. I'd like to think that they're well-grounded and intelligent enough not to let it sour things, but after seeing and reading what the whole business has done to others, I'm not taking the chance.

Don't think that remark was neccessary Noisette !

Yes some folk think it can 'potentially' do them 'some good' others 'some harm'...yet no one actually knows do they?

I'm saddened and disgusted that 'friends' think of you as 'the enemy' which is utter rubbish as far as I'm concerned.Whether people are for leave or remain we're all human..doesn't anyone care anymore?.

Interesting - the tone in the House of Commons has changed - it appears that MP's of all colours have accepted that no deal may happen.

So now the court hearing went their way, and the reputational damage done to another PM, the next stage of parliaments plan is revealed in shock to no-one -

Labour MP Hilary Benn, chair of the Commons Brexit committee, tells the BBC that the prime minister has "lost control of events".

"He’s making a terrible mess of being prime minister of the country. He’s losing all of the important votes, he doesn’t have a plan, he doesn’t have a mandate, he doesn’t have credibility, he's thrown away his majority" - all in addition to the Supreme Court defeat, Mr Benn says.

He says Mr Johnson's refusal to accept the court's verdict "doesn't fill us with confidence" that the prime minister will follow his legal obligation to ask for a Brexit extension if he fails to agree a deal by 19 October.

Mr Benn says MPs will have to decide how to make Brexit end, and his preferred option is to go back to the British people in another referendum "to resolve the nightmare".

I thought it was illegal to place any kind of conditions on a General Election?

He has been PM for a matter of weeks! They won't even give the bloke a chance and now they are out to assassinate his character completely - - as if that lot don't have skeletons in their cupboards!
