    Labour rebels say they might be willing to help push the deal through parliament!

    There's a lot of talk around the border obviously, but what will the EU put in place if we leave without a deal? They won;t have an open border, it isn't in their rules so which is worse (or most debilitating to the GFA), the Boris proposal or the EU rule book?

      The SNP's Westminster leader Ian Blackford said the PM will "never have the consent of Scotland" for his Brexit deal, saying Mr Johnson "doesn't grasp the reality of a workable backstop".

      "It is a half-baked plan from (the prime minister's adviser) Dominic Cummings and his Brexit fanatics," Mr Blackford said.

      Well I hope he's going to be asked for an apology for using inflammatory language

        Boris is getting his way - the EU have said that the latest proposals fall short and cannot form the basis of an agreement.

        The EU will be seen as the architects of a no deal exit - they are falling hook, line and sinker for the Boris plan.

                      Don't know why but today feels almost like an anticlimax... not much happening as the EU "leaders" digest the paper and make some calls. I miss the pantomime outrage.

                          They wonder why we want to leave, just heard on the news a Dutch fishing vessel has been working on the south coast, it sucks fish up, tons at a time and appears they are not doing anything wrong.
                          Our own fishermen were apparently banned from fishing for certain types of fish in that area in order to save stocks.

                          They also said that this ship had been banned from fishing in Australian waters on environmental grounds.
                          The Dutch owners had no comment to make.

                          We need to get out of the EU and start to control our own country and waters, and get a bloody gun boat out there like Iceland did in the cod war.

                          The supertrawler just 14 miles off Brighton capable of landing 6,000 tonnes of fish

                              To say that I was never a Fan of Margret Thatcher, Norman Tebbit, Michael Heseltine, Kenneth Clark, etc is saying it mildly. But I am inclined to agree with you, Marley Farley, she'd have handbagged them unconscious as they begged for mercy!!
