Christ, I thought I was the naive one around here, he may not have any powers as such officially, but he can certainly muddy the waters, stir the proverbial and help out the EU .

String him up I say, lets have his head on traitors gate, on second thoughts, narr.
        Too ugly.

          "busted"

Muddying the waters, pete, is just that, it has no effect on the real decision taking. Is Bercow having meetings with Barnier or Tusk or at the Bar with Junker?
He's rabble rousing in the little Parlimentarly circle he nows lives seeking attention from minor EU officials. But, if you want to give the man some credence of power and think he's talking to EU officials of great powers able to change the BREXIT agreement being sorted out now, then I'm sure he'd be delighted to think his media posturing has worked.
I worry about the SNP, the Liberals, and lastly Labour who's leadership don't want a Brexit deal of any form, at any price. Even if Boris secures a deal with the EU, he's got to bring it back to a House of Idiot's who haven't agreed to anything in the last 3 years

I agree, that there are those over here that will not agree to any deal, whatever it is.
I actually understand that, they dont want to leave.

As a sideline, I thought the EU had had a reshuffle a while ago, so why is Barney, Tusky, and Junker still in the frame?

Because they've been heavily involved in the one sided negotiations since the beginning up to now so it would be foolish to change over to new people now who would have not been involved previously..........a bit like having an appointment with a Doc and then halfway through swapping over to another one who doesn't know you or been involved before.:dunno:

I agree to a point - regardless of which way the vote had gone, it would have been much better if everyone pulled in the same direction.

Hey freddy I think you need to expand a bit on that, I'm not sure what you are referring to?

The country is divided on Brexit, but the country is divided on most things political, that's how it has been for years, and probably always will be.
If we all had the same thinking it would be a very strange world.

I'd also like to know why not too many months ago Corbyn was sucking up to the EU having 'meetings'...what the flip has it got to do with that 'Agitator' ..gone quiet now though hasn't he.
I'm waiting for the 'feed back' from the DUP ,that'll be the clincher ..Oh and then getting the 'deal' through parliament...which I'm finding impossible from where I'm sat because no matter how marvelous a deal would be there are some that are going to vote against it come what may.I still feel a No Deal coming on..hey ho...let's do it..

Well it would be good to be able to say to MPs, either you vote for this deal, should one be agreed with the EU, or we leave without one.
And see what their response is to that.

If the government can't say that, due to the high court ruling, it would be a nice "gesture" from the EU to make that statement and actually get things moving.

But I fear the EU still dont want us to leave and they are hanging on to us.

The EU don't want us to leave. I totally agree with Pete. Of course not, because we are the highest financial contributor. Plus dare I venture to say. Member states/countries, still recognise Britain (the UK) as being a world power ie; the anglo american world power.
