So once (if) we ever see the end of this phase of Brexit, the next one looks set to be as buggered as the next with Rory Stewart and some others pressing the government to give Parliament more control over the next phase of the Brexit negotiations, ie the trade negotiations.

I cannot think of a worse bunch to accomplish (or not) this.
For trade should it not be, you know, trade people, the business and industry leaders who know what the heck they're talking about without the need to push personal agenda or need to be in the limelight?

Which is why we need a General Election after Brexit, or before, to give us a Government with a good working majority, Loofah, anything less will mean even more chaos and madness.:wallbanging::dunno::cat-kittyandsmiley::coffee:

Don't disagree but whenever a politician gets involved you know you're in serious trouble.

That mob in the HOC would do better getting on with the 'job' instead of harping on about nothingness..they reckon they haven't had enough time to go through the agreement yet waffle on about utter tripe...it's turned into a character assassination of Boris Johnson which is rather predictable because Corbyn is cornered ...
I've said it before and I'll say it till I'm blue in the face..NO DEAL is better than a Corbyn government..we haven't got a lot to loose .

Well if they vote against the timetable then Boris is gunning for an election which got him precisely nowhere last time! What's the point of having a government if they can't deliver on the job due to parliament? System seems more than a touch broken

I think you have hit the nail on the head, a government that can't deliver Brexit is exactly what the majority of MPs want.

Apparently 3 days is not long enough for them to waffle about the deal, strange, they wasted 3 years of putting obstacles in the way and now it's come down to 3 days they are moaning yet again.
They really are a bunch of wind up merchants, full of wind.

I'd have a jolly good chuckle if Boris picked up the big gold thing in front of him and battered Jez with it. There's one thing they're supposed to be delivering and the whole house is dead set against it happening and putting it all at the PM's feet. They're a pathetic waste of space.

A general election might not be ideal for our divided nation ,the Lib. Dems. may have a strong say in splitting us even more......imho.

Hi @Loofah , I don't think you can say " the whole house is dead set against it "......
He only lost the vote on Saturday by 16 . That's not bad considering there are 642 ( or there abouts ) MP's.

Agree @roders , The Lib/ Dems have taken what they consider the "high" ground.
One thing I will say, we know what they want, and the SNP, all the others are just a bunch of definite maybes that want to remain but want to appear to be upholding the Ref result.
Fence sitters, if I had my way it would be barbed wire.
