    On to days walk ,took my I.D Book with me ,guess what could,nt find one of them:dh:.I ,m going to get another Book:hehe:1. Ground Ivy (Glechoma hederacea) 2.Charlock (sinapsis arvensis) 3. Narrow-Leaved Vetch (Vicia angustifolia) . 4.Old Mans Beard(Travellers Joy)-Clematis Vitalba 5.Garlic Mustard(Alliaria petiolata)

    I'm having the same trouble WOO ! We're all gonna need a bigger book!!!!

    It's a difficult I.D. subject. Thank heavens for Aesculus !

    This is a beautiful composition.

    Thanks Cookie I,ll have another look In the Book But now when I go on my walks I keep looking on the ground and I,m missing an awful lot of Bird Shots :hehe:.This Is the book Mrs Woo got for me .:)

    I just bought the very same wildflower book for my mum last weekend! Actually, the Collins series are very good - especially the bird and wildlife ones.

    Mrs WOO has very good judgement :)

    Oh No WOO - it's not you!!!! Wild flowers are very difficult to ID even from photos. That is what makes them appealing to try and find out about - a lot of detective work required... which I like !

    I just wonder if this thread has bitten off more than it can chew - very pretty photos though and that makes it worthwhile in my book.

    Currently listing the flowers we have so far on post # 1.

    Ok lets get started on these:thumb:

    1) Ground Ivy (Glechoma hederacea)
    2) Charlock (sinapsis arvensis) ?
    3) Narrow-Leaved Vetch (Vicia angustifolia) ?
    4) Yep spot on woo:thmb:
    5) Well it's a geranium...:lollol:
    6) and gain spot on although it's most commonly called "jack by the hedge" dunno why:skp:

    Hi Cookie No Were OK, its alright biting off more than we can chew ,It just takes longer to swallow It :hehe: I have learnt a great deal already :thumb::)

    :) One of my favourite wild flowers Corn Poppy(Papaver Rhoeas)
    also called Field Poppy and Flanders Poppy .
