    Another one from the other thread.. These are in a patch on a south facing field bank in Gloucestershire.. This year they are not so advanced but are just appearing now...

    Wild Strawberry - Fragaria vesca

    I think Its some species of SPEEDWELL The book lists 17 different ones.:)

      :thmb: They are Aesculus we have 1 field also near here where we get white ones too, but they are not in flower yet, but I am watching for them..:wink:

      Another you must all recognise.. Ivy Leaf Toadflax Linaria cymbalaria.. Single flowers similar to the flowers of a snapdragon, lilac with a yellow pad. Kidney shaped leaves. Once established it sends out long trailing shoots. Habitat Walls, rocks, shingle and stony ground.

        Winter Cress or Yellow rocket - Barbarea vulgaris.. Biennial.. Found in damp places.. 1-2ft tall. Member of the Cruciferae (Wallflower)family..
