        Right, you lot :)............being as I've just managed to catch up with this thread, I'll start with answering Ziggy.

        I've been on the island nineteen years, the death penalty was gone before then. Having said that, the birch was abolished just after we moved here and removed from the statute books. That's a shame because criminals lived in awe of it although it was rarely used.

        Regarding the British label.......it should, if it could, be plastered all over our sense of humour because that's what we're about! :D
