Hi again folks. Just by way of update, here's a pic of my B/Beans. Compared to last years beans, these are so much better (so far). Last year I grew The Sutton. Ok, The Sutton is a dwarf, but even so, these are looking like they're going to produce proportionally many more beans. It's not exactly scientific though, last year I planted into virgin soil and since then I've been able to improve it. [IMG] Cheers...freddy.

    Have you picked any yet?

Just picked our first today and ate them this evening - they were great?

Hi folks. Been picking mine for a few days now. A good size crop of delish beans :) I do notice though that the foliage is starting to look quite tatty and yellow. I guess this is normal ?
    Cheers...freddy.

Hmmm, could be or are you getting that heat that everyone else is getting too.

Mine are a few days away yet from being able to pick them.
I'm excited to try them, i am growing ones that i havent tried before, such as Rattlesnake Beans and Kentucky Blue.

Hi Penny. Yes, I'm getting the same hot weather, but I'd have thought they'd be able to take that in their stride. Anyway, it's the beans that count :thumb: :)
    Cheers...freddy.

Interesting thread following through from Oct to June

I usually sow in spring but might just try overwintering this year.

I really prefer green seeded varieties ( converted OH with these, didn't like the grey ones)
does anybody know a green seeded variety for overwintering?
