Okay, I've just checked with Sky and they can't offer me "Ultra Fast) at around 143mbs, but they can give me "Super Fast" which should give me around 32mbs-37mbs, which is not the fasted fast but a significant improvement on my present Broadband speed.
They will send me a new Router to help give me that faster speed but I've only just swapped over to SKYQ and therefore a new SKYQ Router becoming useless seems a bit of a waste. They've told me the new Superfast router will arrive in the next 5 working days and they want the "old" SKYQ router back. I then have to wait for a e-mail from SKY to inform me that the Superfast connection is live before I can swap the routers.
So that has cost an extra £6 a month and we'll see if there's any noticeable improvement.:dunno::coffee:

I've just done a speed check on both my computers. They're both ethernet wired to the router and sit in the same room. did both tests on the same site.

No 1 reads Response Time 7 ms Download 8.1 Mbps Upload 1.7 Mbps
No 2 reads Response time 11 ms Download 8.4 Mbps Upload 1.2 Mbps

No idea what they mean or why they differ :dunno: but don't really have a problem with the speed. I don't download films etc.
