Caj` as far as I can tell there is no scent. But this could be down to the wet weather. Will stick my beak in and find out when we`ve a dry, sunny day. As for the pic, when I`ve worked out how I posted it, I`ll pm you.:thumb::D

David they only give off scent early evening and night the wet will not stop them, in their natural habitat they are pollinated by moths.

Thanks, walnut. Once I've got the greenhouse up and running, I'm gonna have some fun trying the different X's:)

This is a Datura I grafted on to a Brugmansia suaveolens to try and induce some colour changes, the flower has ended up bigger than the original and the suffuse blue edging is a little deeper blue, not significantly changed so back to the drawing board, the flower is 81/2" long and 6"diameter and has a gorgeous scent.

Walnut, well if you don`t want it, I can give it a good home.:thmb: As for the scent of mine, I would say it was slightly citric, maybe Orangey.:thumb:

Beautiful Walnut - what a thrill to have 'made's such a delicate bloom!

I noticed two buds on mine for the first time today!!! Think it'll be too late or it, though better late than never! It hasn't ever recovered from the 'virus' or whatever it had/has. The leaves are still holey and distorted - but near the top, there ar two buds!!! It is too big to bring in - d'you reckon there's any chance I'll see it in flower???

J/B yes it's still got time to bloom, distorted leaves can be caused by different things growing conditions, temp changes types of compost fertilizers etc and may not be a virus, sometimes when the distorted leaves are shed the new ones comming through are ok.If the problem persists ditch it and start again from seed viruses are not usually passed on from seed, don't bother bringing it in if it still has problems if it's a healthy brug it can be cut right back and overwintered inside.

Sorry, walnut. I didn't explain that properly. Is it heavily scented ( like you can only smell it if you stick your nose in it) or is it strongly scented like it scents the whole patio:cnfs:

It's in the g/house Caj you can smell it when you open the door in a morning it had only one blossom when it has a few together it would probably scent a patio area, the blossoms only last 2 days tops you can get a week out of a brug.
