    After a few days break from lesson planning etc up in Edinburgh, I returned home to find both blooms on my brugmansia literally blown away. Disappointed, but not disheartened, as there was still a bud which I could photograph to show you all!

    We have had some fierce winds, and you've guessed, I came down this morning to find it blown away too. Am gutted - all that time, energy and patience (not to mention worry!). I did say to my guinea-pig sitter to have a look out the window at it (she is a keen gardener too), but I'm not even sure she got to see them.

    Not to worry, have cheered up a bit looking at your lovely blooms daisydee!

    Awww sorry to hear about your brug Flowers jarbox :( All that energy into one plant, even if you had one flower left to just say, I grew that :luv: What colour was it ? If I hadn't of put mine in the Greenhouse it would of went the same way as yours, and im still Gutted about the one I snapped, :dh: ...Dee...

    Dee, when the stem snapped why use it for cuttings? That`s what I did, and I`ve now got 2 more plants.:thumb::D

    I should of done just that David, but i threw it in the bin in temper :( when i looked at it next day it was floppy and dead looking...same as the slug, I Hope..

    Mine has been stripped in the wind,:( think I will cut it back soon.

    Mine are still flowering, but will have to pot up the cuttings this weekend.
