Hi Pete there are places in the u.s. and sangs will flower nearly all year round its more of a temperature thing that inhibits flowering, temperatures above 71f-22c seem to inhibit flower development probably spring and autumn here has the optimum light and temperature for flower developement, 50-60f is the ideal very difficult to maintain in an english summer, they do like sun I have mine behind a south facing fence they receive early and late sun but are protected between 10am and 4pm.Get a bigger greenhouse they will flower into winter.

Did you manage a cutting Waco? have you managed to escape the flooding from your stream?

No did not get a cutting, but we will be going back on Stravinsky (Yacht) I did manage something very naughty and black though - just hope it lives!

as to flood, yes we escaped - see pictures I think in "Members" water water everywhere. I have got some pics of my brugs which I will post if it keeps raining.

They are all now starting to put out side shoots, so should make bushier plants hopefully.

They look as though they are in the greenhouse, but actually only the langenbuscher is inside however they are still in a hot spot.

I have planted some others out in the garden, so we will see how they compare.

    Thanks for encouragement!

Thanks all, I am really hooked on them now!

LoL I do have some leggsy ones too, but they now seem to be branching from the bottom.
I am going to try to get a cutting of the Greek bruggie when I go back out there. I got a black canna cutting last time, it was quite lucky as I even found a plant pot on the road when I was walking back to the boat with it.

There is a nice bright orange and yellow plant that grows like a weed out there which I would like too, I think it may be a verbina, but have not identified it yet.

Hi Waco. A black Canna sounds fantastic.

Could it be Lantana that you are seeing?

Mine is a hybrid but the wild ones are orange/yellow here.
