What a good idea using cling film in the tray first FidgetsMum. Should save me lots of time.

For gloss paint on doors I use a small foam roller in a little tray with a sealable lid (like a Tupperware box). The lid keeps it all fresh for a few days allowing for two or three coats. I’ve found rollers give a much nicer finish on doors than brushing and it is very quick. Cleaning out gloss paint is even worse using white spirits so the cling film idea will be good for that too!
