    We have lift off.
Lots of areas at the back are sprouting.
    It's 6 days today.
Unfortunately it had dried out yesterday as no one was here to water it.

Fingers crossed it didn't wipe out to much seed.

It's good to hear it's now visible. Don't worry about missing the watering yesterday, it won't have done any harm. :)

Been doing it every few hours each day.
Very light sprinkles at a time.
It's changing by the hour right now.
The camera won't pick it up though.
Will do a pic each day

Wow! I'm so envious! We've not got to that stage yet and I just can wait to have a proper, real lawn
What a huge difference from how it looked before! Best of luck with your seed. I used to live with the owners of grass seed direct who were a font of knowledge in all thing grassy or seedy :snork: might be useful info?

It's looks much greener when I look at it but for some reason the camera makes it real hazy.
One of the key ingredients was the 696 pre seed fertiliser.
That stuff made that lawn sprout in 5 days and it's growing so well.
I can't wait to be able to walk on it.
I came into this project blind and Google has helped me along so hopefully my diary and pictures may help others and can compare growth rates etc.

It's come on really well Car.crash. :dbgrtmb: I'd ease off on the watering now as it's looking a little too damp. Once a day, preferably after sunset will be enough.

I've not watered it for 2 days.
          UK weather has done that.
I've thrown more seed down at the edges and the thin patches.
I'm sure I will be cutting it in a few weeks.
Time to dig out the cylinder mower and roller.

Have you a rotary mower Car.crash? A cylinder mower is not ideal for it's first cuts as it will flatten the grass and not be able to cut it properly.

If it's a good quality petrol based cylinder mower the cut will not be a problem as they are designed to cut low compared to rotary mowers but it's best to allow a little growth on new grass on lawns so the root system develops so set the height with this in mind.
Rotary mowers are fine but if the soil prep is not firm enough a 4 wheel rotary will leave grooves compared to a rear roller version.

I have a qualcast 45s with new blades and a push mower with wonky wheels and rubbish at anything in life.
          Qualcast it is :)

I went out with the torch last night and worms galore.
          Happy soil
