    "Lugging in=and-out every day is a F.A.G."

    That's censored? How very archaic!

      When I first went to school they still had fagging but it was stopped in my second year. Fortunately, I was never a cigarette! :heehee:

        I didn't know what a cigarette (a la American) was - hubby has just enlightened me. Odd that the ""word police" aren't blocking the verb- ie. the act of fagging but throw a hissy fit at the noun. Anyway, are we digressing a bit here chaps?
        I am going to make a back screen out of a piece of cardboard, cover the front(facing due south) with tin foil and arrange it behind the long seed tray of 9 pots containing the toms.This should save me lugging them up and downstairs everyday to seek better light.
        exhausted now already and it's only 8.45am

        Just get a bit of white card - it reflects better than tin foil (I used to use tinfoil for years assuming it was a "good" reflector :( )

        I suspect the original naughty-word list was American ...

        Who let these Yanks crawl all over our British GC website? Who watch was it when that happened? They should only be allowed in on a day pass after an indepth interv iew. Sorry, digressing again. Please don't ban me - I will calm down in a mo....

        It's American software, it comes like that, if you want to "configure" it then ... you have to spend the time to configure it how you want it. There comes a point ... :dbgrtmb:

        Back on track :snork:..

        I've continued with the jobs in the garden (and house) over the last week or so;
        • I've earthed up my spuds today and covered them with fleece just incase we get the -4 frost they're forecasting for us tonight or tomorrow night.
        • Tomato seedlings have now been transplanted in to individual pots; 8 varieties in total ~ don't ask :biggrin:
        • Other seedlings have been potted up now too, my Hellebores and PeterS's Brugs being some :blue thumb:
        • Some more seed potatoes have been planted.
        • Cleaned out the greenhouse.
        No doubt there are other bits and bobs too.....and so it continues; loving it...:dancy:

          Today I have managed to get a few more jobs done despite the cool and at time drizzly weather;
          • I've put an edging of oak bark on my "perennial" corner to tidy it up but keep it looking natural
          Plants 078.jpg

          • I've also cut the grass for the 3rd time this year.
          • I've removed a lot of Russian Vine from the hedge that spills over from the neighbours, hopefully the hedge will have a chance now.

            I also like the oak bark - but how are you going to cut the grass alongside it?

            There's always someone who has to spoil it :loll::snork::biggrin::heehee:, just joking Shiney :)

            Seriously though it's only a short a distance; it took me literally a couple of minutes to cut the edge with shears yesterday before mowing, so I can either do that or I may remove a couple of inches of grass to fill with wood chips or the like...:blue thumb:
