    Good evening Loli and thank you,I am finding my new interest very challenging both the photography and the ID,its a whole new world right under my feet,macro's not the answer as they never seem to settle long,I have learnt one thing if nothing else,not to let my shadow fall on them;):smile:

      P1040856.JPG Had a good day but it was overcast most of the time and I didn't see much. Maybe this cloud put them all off..:heehee:

            Great butterfly pictures from you all, I think they must have all bypassed Lincolnshire.

            None at all in my garden unless they are fluttering about whilst I am at work!

              We used to have these in our back garden when I was young. I recall it on big moss roses , convulvus and the shiny green privet hedge.
              Is it still around - anyone seen it please?

                      great photo , and lets others see what they look like before they want to get rid

                      I have a massive nettle patch along side the river but for some unknown reason never a caterpillar on them ? why I do not know .
