      :hapfeet::hapfeet::hapfeet:

      I've just seen a Butterfly,a Red Admiral to be precise .It's the first one I've seen in months:yes:

      Unfortunately it was crawling all over a pile of dogs 'doings' so a photo didn't seem appropriate:whistle:..I'll get him next time:thumbsup:

        Good morning Loli then all these butterfly friendly flowers I have planted,are a waste of time, I could have just left the dog poo laying all over the garden:ideaIPB::lunapic 130165696578242 5::lunapic 130165696578242 5:

          Got a bad feeling, just not seeing any butterflies at the moment. Buddleia is well away everywhere but not a single butterfly on any of it. :(:(:(

                          Our buddleia is only just beginning to come into flower but we have dozens (possibly over 100) of butterflies all over the verbena bonariensis, the hanging baskets and sunbathing on the patio (not at the moment as it's raining, but for the last few weeks).

                          It's quite fun to have a cloud of butterflies around our heads when we walk from the patio to the lawn - through the verbena. The verbena is in the gravel edging between the patio and the lawn (all self-seeded) and stretches from the kitchen to the summerhouse - about 70ft.
