What a great thread, thanks. Spotted my first Peacock (one of the few I know) this year today. Too slow to get pics, and it was out of the window whilst having breakfast... Okay, okay some of us are retired! Apart from which breakfast is too important for me :)

Brimstone on the Daphne, the first time I have had one actually stop to feed, normally they just fly through.

I had one of those in my greenhouse yesterday on two Occasions, probably the same one, never seen one around here before.
Saw a Peacock earlier in the day.

I've seen my first 3 Brimstones of the year today all a couple of miles apart so not the same one :). I also saw a small brown job (possibly a comma) but it wouldn't let me get close enough to see clearly. I really like your photos, im never quick enough!
It was about 15°c and lovely and sunny, i also spotted 5 hares 2 of which were boxing. All in all it was a great walk.

Well...after ending up with a Blankety Blank in the trap and the fence panels offering no signs of any moths I called it a morning, a bit disappointed, but that's mothing for you.

But...in the afternoon I was topping up the food in the Hedgehog boxes and I found a Twin-spotted Quaker hiding in some leaves, that's a new for garden moth, so a good day after all.

Some stunning photos, glad to see your photography again Sheps.Amazed and delighted to see a Hummingbird Hawkmoth this morning. I was walking with my dog enjoying some spring sunshine and enjoying banks of primroses when I noticed it buzzing around a wall covered in aubretia. Didn't expect to see one so early in the year.

                            Thanks very much @Scroggin

Yes, I've seen other reports too of Hummers, it is very early and some suggestions online of them possibly over-wintering.
