Thank you for the name of moth @pitter-patter. It certainly was a giant.

Not a decent pic but my first Green Veined White this year. I haven't seen an Orange Tip settled yet.

                Dear All
Hope you can help but sorry no photo.
Saw what we believe is a day flying moth in our garden this afternoon.
It had a red body with the end expanded with 2 white dots. The 2nd wings were red.
We have looked in our books but no wiser.
We haven't seen this moth before. It behaved like a hummingbird moth, just not wanting to settle and on the go.
                Any ideas? Many thanks.

I don't know myself but this website is helpful - lets you narrow down by filters for size, colour etc.: Identify a Moth

@Clare G many thanks. We have looked at the site and have decided that it is a Broad-Bordered Bee Hawk -moth. Lovely moth.

Looks like a Holly Blue @wiseowl but not 100% sure.
Saw my first Wall Brown today but too flighty for a shot but I did get my first Small Heath of the year.

It's been a while since the Moff Box was last out, so gave it a go last night.

                          The guests were as follows

                          Buff Ermine
                          Campion
                          Green Carpet
                          Muslin Moth
                          Common Swift
                          Flame Shoulder

                          Here is the Muslin Moth...
