                @strongylodon we used to pre covid volunteer at a rspb reserve. One year this young man turned up with his family on his way to...somewhere. He had stopped because he heard that we had clouded yellows (and we did) but his next stop was to go to get better Lulworth skipper photos. Hopefully he managed to get some good photos as you have done.

                  Great picture of the Golden ringed dragonfly @Scroggin ! I suspect we had such flying around our garden this morning... Suffice to say why I like the picture, ours was gone in a blur.

                    @On the Levels the levels, I struggle to ID Lulworths from Small Skippers but there are plenty about around the coastal area. Clouded Yellows are not around yet but soon will be and are hard to photograph.
                    Did you volunteer at Ham Wall? I volunteered at Arne until last year.
                    Saw several Marbled Whites today at Portland but I didn't have my camera.

                        I know what you mean, normally they don't stop long enough to get a picture. Maybe this one was recently emerged? It was lovely to see it up close.

                              Just now our 1st Dragonfly has come out of our Pond .All this waiting , watching and hoping and 9 days later than last year. Can’t wait until the morning now
