 Are you talking about Feijoa or Caesalpinia? My Caesalpinia germinated easily, the big seeds came up with round leaves and all had had little seedcase hats on; they were very funny, looked like the robots in the 'Smash' advert. The Feijoa all germinated OK but I gradually lost them as they grew.
Pete, your Caesalpinia looks really sturdy compared to mine, my best one only has 3 shoots.
David, have you just one Feijoa?
Just been looking at your lovely seedlings, pete- they are caesalpinia, aren't they?

I tend to think they are Liz. (the seedlings that is)
Plant yours out if you have a warm sunny spot, a fence facing south will do. As I say, strongy seems to have managed to get flowers in pots, but I never have.:)

    Hi,
    Do caesalpinia seeds need stratification?
    Or soaking?
(Hope someone is still around to answer...:)

A soak for a few hours is a good idea, but not found stratification necessary.
Give the seed coating a small nick before soaking.

    Good luck Angelina:)

I've usually given them a 24 hour soak similar to Acacia seed.
