I tend to find when we had our Poppy she would go on with herself for about 3 to 4 weeks. Can drive you mad especially if they are indoors. She used to howl inside and the toms howeled outdoors. On the funny side we were forever having toms peering in through different windows, and she was so affectionate when in season. 02

Hiya, rosa, yes she is a real beauty ... but not when she's being this screaming banshee.

Hi Gogs, nice to see you again :) ... you have put a real damper on my day with that news .... :( ... and I hope you are wrong .... s00k

02, your two to three weeks some preferable but that seems too long ... so far two days is too long as she spent the night outside our bedroom window.

Now, strangely, a very large white and ginger tom perhaps? came onto our property today and I've never seen him before (we are only 5 houses in the orchard) so perhaps her wailing is attracting him and he can sort her out sooner rather than later. :thmb: She is wailing outside the kitchen door, 2 meters from me at the moment as she has taken to 'camping out' on the doormat.

In the meantime Cal is worn out consoling her and kissing her but that's about all, bless him. :luv: ... he's currently asleep in his beanbag in front of the fire.

I have thought about taking her to one of our cat sanctuaries where they will 'do' them for free .... but probably should ask her 'parents' first ....

:thku: in the meantime for your responses. k-l

I was a bit worried about getting our Poppy done, but it was well worth it. It settles them right down. But if you ask her parents I'm sure they would be pleased to get her done. Better than having a load of baby kittys that no one wants. She is such a beautiful puss though. Must admit I'd be tempted to steal her if I lived near by.:skp::hehe: 02
