Calling anyone who remembers the 70's!

Ohhh, don't you worry! I'll be posting pics! But not until after July 8th - that's when the open air concert takes place. I swear, you won't be able to tell me and Nerys Hughes apart!!

 

FAB!!!! Nearly laughed my platforms off!!

 

If I had a pair of platforms now they would be taller than me, can't say I felt comfortable wearing them but it was fashion, something I have ignored for thirty years or so. :D

 

iff you have not already had your 70s evening after the event please add a photo as we would love to see what you eventually wore for the night.
we cant wait is it long skirt, hot pants, minis, plenty of bangles, loopy ear-rings etc, etc.

The 70's night is next saturday and if I were 10 year younger it would most definately be hotpants and white knee high boots. Alas I'll make do with flares and a pvc hat!!

 

What a fab night! Thousands of people in 70's attire - felt I was in a time warp!! Goodness knows how we managed to stay on those platform heels all day way back then. But we did! I've Mind you, my legs were nearly 30 years younger then!!

I never managed to wear pointed toes or stilettos, but I loved platform shoes, being only 5' 3" They gave me a chance to look taller. Never found any difficulty walking!

i never thought to say....whilst walking to the shop this morning i said hello to a lady who was on her way to a christening and she had something similar to your platforms sheppy, on her feet.to tell the truth im a bit worried about her now as i know she likes a drop of rum and coke.shes a big lady and i wouldnt like to think i was stood next to her when she gets a wobble on. :eek: :D

I've just signed on to a Buddy Holly forum - mind, I did see him live!! No wait - that was 1958!!

*sigh* - just what I need - another forum!! This will be number five!!!
