Can anyone identify this plant/weed

    their are two types of borage b officinalis and b pygmaea...the pygmaea one isnt used for culinary or medicine ..mine is the officinalis and can be used..their is also a white version called alba...

    Hi there Stingo, my first post. Just wanted to let you know that the plant in your photo appears to be Green Alkanet (Pentaglottis sempervirens), a member of the Borage family.

    Not a true native - introduced by monks in the Middle Ages as a source of green dye, now widely naturalised in southern UK as a hedgerow/wasteland plant.
