      Kevin, Taylors Clematis site may help with Montana ID.
      As KFF said on red tinged leaves, the Mayleen I suggested has red tinged leaves.

      I shall take a look on the Taylors Clematis website and see.

          Hi Kevin, I'm really sorry but I somehow missed your post, my apologies, and you're certainly not bothering me as we all part of the same GC Gang here to help each other if we can.
          At the last count, Kevin, I have 173 Clematis in the soil around the garden and two sitting on my Kitchen door step for planting

          along the fence of the Wildlife pond. But having said that, Kevin, I really hate trying to identify varieties of plants from a Computer screen because the colour can vary so much due to the display settings on a Laptop or Desktop:dunno::wallbanging:
          This is Clematis Rubra from images online.......

          And this is an image of Clematis Rubra in my garden I took with my camera and downloaded to my image library and you can see the difference between the two images.

          So, that's why, Kevin, I'm always reluctant to try to identify any plant variety unless I'm actually standing in front of it:dunno: So, my apologies for not replying sooner and not able to identify your Clematis for you.:cat-kittyandsmiley::coffee:

            Firstly, may I just say that I think you should see someone regarding your obsession with Clematis

            Sorry, I sometimes forget that not everyone has their devices calibrated so images appear true.

            From the information i received from Taylor's Clematis it appears my Montana is Mayleen.
