Not much of a gut feeling more like a hope and a prayer.

Spring just warm enough for pottering around the garden in a jacket other clothes as well of course!:hehe:

Summer warm enough to enjoy outdoors with getting sunstroke maybe evenings with a good down pour if it gets too hot, the plants will love that.

Autumn as beautilful as last years natural leaf display.

Winter a white wonderland with enough snow to make a snowman and have a good snowball fight!:gnthb: Hel.xxx.

    Well Claire,
There is Ground Hog day over here, February 2, to see if he sees his shadow. And then there is the old saying for March. If March comes in like a lion it goes out like a lamb. And if is comes in like a lamb it goes out like a lion. So, I will wait until March.

    SNAP!!!!!

No I don`t remember that year, maybe if I was hypnotically regressed.................

I do remember one particular summer when I was 8/9-so that would make it ........give me a minute.............1982 or 83, and that was a good year.

I don`t particularly want a scorcher, just less rain and no more frosts-but maybe that`s asking too much.

I think one is on it`s way maybe two days or so.

We have that saying over here too :)

Also, "don't shed a clout (clothes) until May is out. A bit redundant now as May/June here appear to be summer (as I've said already)

Ha ha , the following rhyme springs to mind :lollol:
    Wether the weather be hot.
or wether the weather be not,
we'll weather the weather.whatever the weather.
Whether we like it or not !

A clout means something different up here Aaron-you don`t tend to shed them, you tend to get one.
