This is why you should go up the Skylon Tower! [IMG]
And go on the Maid of the mist (it's less busy in the afternoon) and prepare to get soaked.

word of caution do not go off the beaten track in chicago we were warned at the hotel by police and that goes for any large city in the states, dont mean to worry you stay with your group. [IMG]

The day I went to Niagra was a public holiday, think its labor day in september, bit like aug bank holiday if you know what I mean.
The place was absolutely packed, with traffic jams getting there it wasn't a good start, but the waterfall was "something to see".
However the rest of the place did I think have a bit of a "tacky" feel.
Perhaps I didn't see it at its best, everyone likes different things, not really wild enough for me, I like wild.

:( Oh dear rosa, that wasn't at all nice..!! You poor thing..! We have had one or two little frights & close shaves over the years too... It certainly makes you keep your eyes everywhere & wits about you, so to speak... ;) Another reason why I am very interested to go to Canada...!! ;) I hate the cities & tacky tourist places so avoid allot of them, but you can't avoid them all...!!! Or you would miss the sights..!!!! [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

Hi MF Hope you enjoy your hols. My Dad used to trade out there until the St Lawrence froze and then he came home. He said it is a beautiful country. My friend has just gone to Nova Scotia for her holiday. She has been many times to different parts. They always hire a car and see a lot more. You will need to tell us all about it when you get back. Have a safe journey. Jazz
