Check the stem , I`ve noticed that infected canna have mosaic stem as well as the leaves and the flower....It hard to bin all the lot , I know i will be tempted to save few and maybe compromise next year again ....

to my experience , the stem is the key fact ...broken line and so on....plus it`s really visible for who have grown cannas long enough to remember how they should look .

I'm only interested in Canna seeds, Kristen, as I've got nearly al other varieties I need for next. I donated 31 or so packets [but some had two or three varieties inside] for the seed parcel.....so it must be fairly big!!:snork:

Hopefully I'll be able to germinate enough to have some spare seedlings to spread around in the Spring :)

Half of LongK's garden was in there, flat packed is seed-packets :heehee:, so you're deluding yourself mate. Lots of rare stuff you absolutely gotta-have :)

The photo definitely doesn't do it justice (modern super-compact cameras with enormously wide lens distorting the picture ... easy peasy to get the whole subject into the shot, never looks right when you see the result!

If a big padded envelop (A4-ish) and absolutely Billy-Bunter bulging shape :)

I've not got much in the way of Canna seeds. All the fancier once I grew from seed this year flowered late and I don't think their seed will mature. Storing the tubers this winter, and giving them an early start under cover next year, should mean some decent seed to harvest ... but not this year, sorry. I've got bucket loads of C. warscewiczii, but I doubt you will be wanting that?? as it isn't of particular impact.
