      My 1st lot are showing up(seeds from the orange canna) :dancy:ive ordered Tuerckhemii and musafolia from alice so i will look forward to a great leaf display this summer,i also hope my russian red survives,that was a lovely coloured leaf :)

        A week later and they are growing ok,2 more to germinate and another 4 sown today:)

          Just put my Durban under the LED lights to get it moving. My sky hawks are in the GH I'll move them on to the heat mat soon. The seeds I'll start next week.
          Are they the musafolia joolz

            No they are seeds from an orange hybrid i grew from seed last yr,turned out a stunner so i hoping its seeds are as lovely,i will start musafolia seeds off soon as they arrive :blue thumb:
            Ive had to google skyhawk..is that the same as my red russian?x

              I think they are similar but red Russian is a lot bigger and the leaves are a little more variegated.
              I like the red Russian too

                Hi Joolz.. I could let you have a couple of C.muscafolia if you cannot get seed .I have grown it for a number of years ..It makes a spectacular display but I have never had a flower ..PM me

                      I thought you would be the first to crack Joolz and plant your Canna seeds :biggrin:
                      I love cannas growing from seed , the little trumpet shape with each leave growing off it gradually getting bigger and bigger :dbgrtmb:

                        I adore Canna. Sadly mine died over the snowy winter 2 years ago. I didn't know I had to protect it from harsh winters :gaah:

                        Hello @Derbyshire , if you read all 596 post from Canna 2012 and the 697 post from Canna 2013 you will find everything you need to know about Cannas :biggrin:
                        Lots off garden centres now sell small canna plants in spring , I don't think they are too expensive :dbgrtmb:
