I took a general photo of some of my seedlings in the greenhouse yesterday:

Zoomed in to the Canna flaccida (Sown 5th March) they are smaller than my Onions at the moment:

and here are the Canna altensteinii sown 5th Feb, they are a good deal bigger than my onions!

Have you got a photo of yours @Freddy ?

Four are pretty much the same size, but one didn't germinate properly and is a lot smaller, but making progress.

            Freddy
Photo below is some C. Marabout , after exactly 4 weeks . So I reckon your are well on track for size!:dbgrtmb:
The C.Tropical I have grown from Rhizomes this year are 3 feet tall after 5 weeks . The C. Bengal Tiger are quite a bit smaller now, but they do grow to the same size by August

Spendid Freddy, that extra heat at night must be doing it, mine are in the greenhouse overnight getting down to 4C.

I see, so mine are doing ok, I was worrying over nothing. It's just that when I've grown them in the past, they seemed to get away much faster....my memory probably fails me...

That does not look good Simon - I'd wait for a second leaf to open just to be sure though.

Started splitting the cannas that have been overwintering in the greenhouse - they have had very little water but that doesnt appear to have stopped them
