Amazon have increased their price by £20.99. You have to be quick to take advantage of these offers.

Thanks, but as I've said previously Scrungee, it's not me buying it, if it's being bought at all! :)

Thank you to my family! :) A Canon SX50 has been ordered and it's on it's way, I hope to see it by the weekend. I will be hanging on to my Canon 1100D and have ordered a camera backpack to carry both cameras and equipment.

Thanks all for your input along the way. :dbgrtmb:

Thanks Armandii! :) I might just invest in that Ghillie suit, it'll keep me warm in this cold spell of weather if nothing else. :heehee:

I got a Hood for mine. Came from eBay China/Hong Kong, cost peanuts, and has the original Canon logo on it :hate-shocked:so it clearly the Real Thing:whistle: or very close copy
I have a spare battery too

Still no camera but I hope to see it by mid-week. This is down to trying to ship during TT!

I don't suppose my SLR hood will fit it? Nahhh, that's to much to expect!

Yes, but ... its not doing anything, as such, @ARMANDII - it needs no strength per se - just needs to be black, and keep the sunlight out :)

If it DID something then I would agree that "brand is better"

£27.38 for that flimsy bit of plastic?? they are having a Giraffe !

Agreed, Kristen, it's a rip off.:gaah: I buy the unbranded rubber lens hoods by lens size and found them to be  when taking a macro shot and sticking the lens into a bush or suchlike. They do the job of keeping reflections and sunlight out and have the bonus of being able to fold back if not needed.:coffee:
