Good luck Nick and Mrs Pal! It must/may be difficult I am sure!!

I used to smoke cigars but when I worked in warehouses I was coughing a lot and put this down partly to the cigars (also the dust in these disgusting places). Funnily enough however, my tastes changed in very short time (fairly recently) from enjoying a cigar to detesting the taste. I often dream about having a cigar but in reality I know the taste will now be repulsive to me. Weird, I know - can't explain this at all. Wish I could feel the same way about the [IMG] !

    All the best Nick!

Well done and keep at it. You can do it, and if Lorna's doing it too - you definitly will succeed. She will have a few words in your shell like, if you show signs of weakening. :D

I too gave up about 20 years ago now but found it surprisingly easy, I just took one day at a time and at first didn't tell anyone including my husband, just in case I failed. I found it encouraging to think of myself as a non smoker and have never craved one since.

Now I hate it when I go out with smokers and come home stinking of smoke, but I've never preached "you should give up" as it is not that easy for some people.

Wish my mom and Sister would give up though, Mom especially as she has blocked arteries in her legs due to smoking. Can't see her doing it though.

PS Nick she has to have a CT Scan now instead of the angiagram , not sure why it has been changed.
