Capneys humble havest today

    No harvest today. so sad.
    My potatoe bin tops are showing signs of turning yellow.
    Wont be to long now when I find out what return I have on five potatoes.

    are those sweet peas just from two stems? i've grown some this year but just keep cutting small stems off with 1 or 2 flowers on to bring inside, am I being too impatient?

    Real nice to think if it was only two.

    I just had to show off my harvest for today.
    My first two leeks ... ever
    Ok.. so they are not world beating class A1 veg, but I bet they are going to taste great!

    In the oven to bring out the sweetness....its the best with the Sunday joint..

    Todays harvest was out of the ground and in the pot in 30 minutes.
    Cant beat that for freshness.

    Nice when you end up with something to eat, for all your efforts Capney.

    Parsnips for Sunday dinner, takes me back a bit, to the days when I used to nearly break my fork trying to get them out of frozen ground most winter Sundays.
    Brussel sprouts frozen to the stem was another Sunday delight.:gnthb:

    I know I only picked one this morning, but it sure put up a fight, and I was delighted to see the size of it.
    I was expecting to pull two or more for our needs today.
    Leaves more for later.
    Must save some for christmas dinner.
