    A very humble small veg harvest today ready for dinner tomorrow.
    5 parsnips of various descriptions, 2 leeks and a beetroot.

    Rob, if they are big enough to eat, then you`ve done your job.A tip on harvesting parsnips. dig a shallow trench around the crown, then fill with water. Let it soak away then gently pull the parsnip, if it wont budge, use more water until the root comes free. :thumb:

    Touch to cold for you yet penny as it is here in Yorkshire. Things were starting to warm up nicely and then we had a frost last night, soil temp has changed from 10C to 5.5C in 24 Hrs.. brr

    Hi there,

    I saw your leeks and it makes me want to make some soup :hehe::gnthb:....love leek and potato soup :gnthb:

    It is sadly still waaaay too cold here, and we still have snow, the current temp is -22 here, i give up, i am so sick of winter here in Ontario :flag::flag:
