    Agree with CL1 that this is predominantly a Renault/Nissan issue with the ECU trying to be much more clever than it actually is; some (sadly not all) are able to recalibrate by switching the ignition on, don't start the engine, press the accelerator fully down twice in quick succession, then dip the clutch before spinning the engine over on the starter - in the latter stage, do not depress the accelerator, but be ready to give it a 'tickle' if the engine starts a bit roughly.

      Thanks FC, I'll try that. It's not that it's a big deal, it's just irritating when you're in rush or embarrassing because you stall a few times. Then have to floor it to escape the scene of embarrassment. :doh:

      Its probably not helped by the clutch - I have always found Renault clutches to have overly strong return springs on the pedals, which makes them comparatively stiff to press down.
