    "nurses with dresses and paper hats" me I preferred the cotton hats - though a swine when returned starched, to soak the draw string for the pleats.

    Oooooh, Fran - I remember it so well! Also strings and bows that went under the chin but that were fixed in place by hairgrips hidden under the cap?!

    I won't be thirty for another 3 years but it still feels like it's creeping on fast. My auntie reassured me that 30 is the worst, it gets easier after, so here's hoping...
