You know me, I'm not going over the top, just moss peat, with vinegar water, run out of rainwater about 6 weeks ago.
I think the tallest one might be a remnant of Sarracenia Maxima as it is 33 inches tall.

That's a good size, pete:love30:. Vinegar Water?, I remember seeing that recommended as an alternative if you run out of rain water. I'm lucky I have two 55 gallon water butts full to the brim from last Winter. Two of the new Nepenthes plants are quite young so haven't got pitchers on them yet, but the N.Hookeriana is medium size with 2 nice looking pitches on them so I'm please that I can watch all 3 develop and grow.:ouch1::snorky:

Just caught a caterpillar getting it's own back on a Sarracenia pitcher.

Has anyone come across those sneaky spiders, they form a web in the mouth of sarracenias and catch the flies before the plant gets them.
Not sure if it is a specific type of spider, but it is fairly small and usually has a green body.

I haven't seen any of those, pete. But I do have a small spider residing above the carnivorous plants who seems to be running a competition with them. He has spun lots of small webs along the top of the window frame and is doing a great business in getting several flies a day.:heehee:

                    Yes quite often.
My Venus Fly Traps are partial to the odd snail especially in winter.

I think I have some seeds sprouted. Unfortunately I thought the whole lot was a waste of my time after months of nothing but moss and I put the trays with soil blocks (4 each) outside to let them freeze overnight tonight to kill off the moss and allow me to re use the soil. Well there's something there as I decided to have one more look before leaving them out there and I took my littlle magnifying glass out and had a closer look and sure enough, there are shapes in there that might be plants!!!! So now I need to look up leaf shapes for their seedlings. Because I pulled and scrubbed the names from their labels so I have no idea what they might be!

This is really exciting for me :hapfeet: or maybe not so but it is a pleasant thought for tomorrow's inspection :)
