Hubby has just bought himself a new Ford Transit! To say he's like a dog with two tails is an understatement! :heehee: He's been kitting it out with racking & putting his gear in it,:rolleyespink:, if the racks have been moved once they've been moved a hundred times :rolleyespink:! It must be a boy thing! :heehee:

I'm car mad,I'll re phrase that,I was mad with my car a couple of days ago. There was suddenly a loud thud then a sort of hissing noise then very little power so had to slowly limp it to the garage .Luckily it turned out to be just a jubilee clip that had rotted and fallen off .Something to do with a 'hose' and I think the word 'coolant' was mentioned ...I wasn't listening:biggrin: I only wanted to know 'how much' ...80 pence, that'll do for me,that's all I needed to know:dancy::dbgrtmb:

Cars ? Cars..... Don't get me started on cars or I will bore you to pieces ! I'm a bit OCD about my cars and spend fortunes and far to much time machine polishing them and tinkering.. Keeps me out of the pub though...

                      Shiney? Silvery?*

                      * You'll have to wait eagerly for other more fascinating replies from others on colour preferences.

Speaking of which, in Spain the car colour of preference seems to be white (not sure if it is cost or fashion or what ....).

Also, in Japan, there are zillions of white cars. A white car is supposed to bring luck and good fortune.

I do wish they would bring back interesting colours (not that I'm a car nut) but in the olden days they had all kinds of great colours, interesting greens and browns (yes green and brown can be a good colour for a car, before anyone starts on me!). Now everything is either silver, black or some muted metalicy thing, with an odd red or other dull colour.

Bit off topic sorry FC ;)

White seems to be a popular colour at the moment - its a fashion thing I think

Possibly - its not a done deal by a very long way yet, but I am considering it.

I've always been a bit wary of silver cars (only had one light silver one), as it used to be said that they were not as visible to other motorists as a darker colour?
