The last Ford Fiesta will come off the production line in Cologne today signalling the end of the Fiesta.

Ford have said the reason for ending the production of the Fiesta was down to electrification, as a company it is financially not viable to make small affordable electric cars.

Which kind of sums up where we are now, up the creek without a fiesta, (or similar).

I had two, an XR2 and XR2i. I can still remember the registration numbers, both cars have not been taxed since 2000 and 2002, probably scrapped.

Although I've bought Ford for the last 45yrs apart from one Vauxhall I've never had a Fiesta.
But they were always popular, just seems a shame cars like that have been given the boot because of electric.
Something has to change drastically if the government are still going to stick to the stupid deadline they have set, once they ban E scooters what are the plebs supposed to use to get about, even E bikes keep exploding and burning people to death.

Perfect it, then set a deadline, dont do it round the wrong way, hoping necessity becomes the mother of invention only works in wartime, and even then it kills people.

When I get ready to buy a new car, I grab up some "consumer report issues" and got through a few making notes.
But, now as I am looking at this thread and seeing who has mainly contributed to this thread it looks like mostly men. Given that ruff deduction----from a womens point of view, I am going to select a car that will "always" start, "never" need service , and be always dependable, in winters storms etc. As a women who is on the road mostly single gettting here and there, I want to be safe. So if I read in the "consumers report issues" any even slight off putting of a car that has issues they do not make my list. And yes, my main car is taken in as it is needed for oil /fluid change to make sure it works for a long time.

So, in other words, I believe cars selected by males would be totally different than what a women would select
