    hi paladin, i just came across your wonderful hobby. i think carving stone is great. its something id love to do and hopefully, maybe will. only thing is, where i come from is a totally granite area . it would be great to create your own sculptures for a garden . anyway i thought you might be interested in this site http://www.ozshots.com/20001014_William_Ricketts_Sanctuary/ this man created sculptures from a porcelain or ceramic mixture . i visited his "santuary" this year and can only describe it as fantastic.
