Thats just what cats do Herbi, Thats nature, who are we to intervene? Everything with teeth and a view to hunting can be called a manace, humans too.

Actually, Herbi, we can all be guilty of getting over the top in our comments and that includes me! Marley and Co are there to do what Marley did, bring us back to our senses.:love30::love30:

You might not believe this, but as a tale regarding birds and cats, one of my cats, Jenny, who is an ex-farm cat came running to me yesterday meowing and tapped me with her paw and then ran off a distance waiting for me. So, being an idiot, I followed her. She'd found a young sparrow that couldn't fly and was trapped in a corner by the compost heap. She could have killed it without any problem but instead she came to me to bring it to my attention. Work that one out.:D

You ARE JOKING arnt you? hold my hopes of a greenhouse and the kids holiday this year, while I make my garden cat proof??? from other peeps cats that are........on Holiday:gaagh: I fully understand that there are "good" cat owners that put them in board, but most just go off, my best mate just moved in up the road to me this week:cool:, we are still trying to find the dumb cat for the dumb owner who just moved and left it, it happens day in day out.
Sorry and sad to read that Jack, at 64 some of those that have made you feel this way should hang their heads in shame:( hope you find somewhere nice, Kind Regards, Phil.:WINK1:

Sorry Jack, if you are still here, I am partly to blame for this heated debate today, and my apologies to anyone else I may have upset. Unfortunately this subject is an emotive one and will always create differences of opinion. We must all agree to differ and get back to gardening, which is what GC's all about! :)

Agreed. Ziggy, losing a new member like that under those circumstances is not good. It will definitely make me think twice about what I write.

I hope Jack will rethink his decision to leave the Forum and come back to contribute, if not I wish him all the best.

        Ok Plant Potty,

We all have strong feelings about cats but this thread has got out of hand.

By out of hand I mean it has caused other members to leave the forum forever and none of us want that to happen.

Now, due to there being no Moderators on line at the moment can we all please drop this thread before anyone else gets upset or libelous.

Stop now please or you will have me to deal with in the morning, and that ain't pretty.
