Snuggly-wugglies are highly important in this household :D

Glad they've made it to your house too!

Kedi - your lovely Gato looked like he had the most wonderful life with you. Remember all those lovely times and well done for being there for him when he needed you the most, at the very end.

So sorry - I seem to have missed these two replies somehow...!

Anakat - how beautiful is your Chloe!!! Those amber eyes are amazing. I sometimes think cats are one of the most superbly designed animals. She certainly does have the same hues in her coat as Zippy ... but those incredible eyes keep drawing me to them - lets see more close ups of that beautiful face!

Whiley - yes Boobtube is her real name! Suits her immaculately too! She is profoundly deaf and a bit of a weirdo, but I love her. Because she can't hear herself she sometimes bawls the most terrifying noises which sound as if she is being murdered on the stairs and she goes very strange with her feather toys and when she has vanquished them she goes into the strangest feline tune of extraordinary meowing - we call it the feather lament!

BP sort of stands for Beepee - but can also on occasions mean BagPuss, BigPaunch, Badpuss (most often!). I think there was something in the news about the petrol company BP when I got her though. BP was born in our practice to a stray mum - so from first breath I knew I wanted her. She is a cat with real cattitude and has taken to James incredibly well and gets jealous if she is sitting with him and I want a cuddle - we call her jealousy cat and she gives me such withering looks!

Both are adopted strays from when I worked down here in Devon. I am a sucker for a stray that needs a home and I guess I was in the worst job possible to keep collecting them! All the overflow homeless are transferred to mum in Somerset! I am like some strange Gerald Durrell type person who collects needy cats!

Zippy is back home with mum now and is enjoying being top cat again.

    Hi Roders!

Nice to see another household where the cats have the humans exactly where they want them ... around their little paw toes!

    We know our place!!!!

A picture speaks a thousand words.....

kedi-gato sorry to hear about your lovely puss! What a super puss from your photos!

Last year I lost my twins Pikelet and Tabitha (tortoise and white mix) - boy and girl and almost 20years old. The year before I lost their mum Kitty (black and white) also 20. She had two families in one year and they all stayed with me. Two years before that I lost Jasmine at 19 (female black). I am now left with Jessica who is a black MALE! and one little dog of 8years who is also black and called Milli (Born in 2000)
Over the years I have owned 32 cats and only "gave away" 3 of them to my sister Michaelmas Daisy and one to a very dear friend of mine.
I can honestly tell you that I remember them all with great affection especially as many of them were injured cats needing nursing and as a volunteer help for the RSPCA I would carry out this "work" and then find I couldn't bear to part with them and they spent their lives with me.

To all with valued feline friends I would say treasure them while they are here with you - you never get a better friend than cat or dog.
