Got miricale compost 3bags for £12 from our local ironmonger and its good compost and he delivers free.

Lidls bark is £1.99 if anyone wants it and its ok .

I have said before I wouldn't trust council compost everyone puts their **** in the bins diseased material and all, there are some things that just wont compost, asure way to spread disease.

I think a lot of the big diy places compost was substandard last year, it seemed to be very lacking in nutrients. On a different note, just in case you need any weed guard/ weed barrier fabric to go with the compost, wilko`s have theirs on offer.
8m long x 1.5m wide for £2.99 normally £4.99, always useful to have some in the shed

Did nor GW run a part on composts, and it was from the "Which" test centre?

They found the same brands bought in different parts of the country, gave very different results!

It is also thought, by those who know, that compost goes off,

It goes sour and loses it fertility, so it is best not to have in store, long term!

I get wildly different texture on Arthur Bowers bought at the same garden centre from one month to the next. All of it acceptable, but I often thing "Gosh, if only this was the same texture as that bag I had a couple of months ago ..."
