Sorry Martin, I just see it all as pollution and my mobile phone is only capable of texting and making calls, in fact it gets so little use I don't need it. :)

As you say Martin, it's each to their own. We are completely different in the way we think and choice of garden but can appreciate the likes and dislikes of others. My ideal home would be a remote cottage and garden to match. The further from the human race the better, present company an exception of course. :)

Now were talking S :), don't forget the thatched roof and real fire :), unfortunately my pennies could only buy me a run down x council house in Sheffield :frown:, maybe one day :).

Jekka's Apothecary garden hands down for me.

My favourite gardens are the ones you can draw inspiration from. Her's is the most inspiring one I've seen for sometime, personally.

Could those that have been there and taken photos start a topic and post them? The show is not shown here, so that is the only way we can not only see the gardens, but read comments from you all.

Who need TV experts? Theres far more knowledge on GC!

I have to agree.... they now bear no resemblance whatsoever to peoples gardens ... a couple of the gardens this year were particularly idiotic :)

Yes, but it is a SHOW! For me I like it because it is that. There is so much creativity, interesting design as well as all the fabulous plants on show. I have been three times and like watching the TV coverage (but that wasn't so good this year, IMO) too. It gives me ideas and gets me thinking how I can incorporate certain things, both hard landscaping and plantings, into my own garden and garden design.

Nowt up with liking it and I am not having a pop. What I say is just my opinion and I could well be wrong (although I rarely am :heehee:).
I dislike tidy, neat as a pin gardens. If there are no interesting plants then I have no interest. And for me that was the problem with Chelsea when I went - most of the plants were just run of the mill. To me it indicated a lack of effort by the designers, or rather reinforced my perception that they were just designers and not plantsmen.
But each to their own and that is no bad thing :blue thumb:
