I'm sorry - but is anyone else finding Nicky Chapman unbearable?

She sounds like she is just reading statements, rather than actually talking about the show with interest.

I'm gonna switch to just watching the evening show.

Why is Nicky Chapman doing a gardening show? What next? In the greenhouse with Katie Price?

Just a quick report. Despite having "four seasons in one day" (one for you music buffs out there) our day at Chelsea, yesterday was great. After last year, when the recession had its effect on the show, it was back to normal. I attended a presentation put on by the RHS for potential exhibitiors and it was very positive. Tickets were sold out earlier than ever before and the gala evening, where tickets cost £300+, was oversubscibed to the power of three!

The show gardens themselves were beautiful in the main and the medals, 8 gold, were well deserved. The urban gardens were up to a really high standard although I felt that the courtyard gardens didn't the have same consistency as before, perhaps it's because I wasn't there!:lollol:All in all a brilliant show.

Thanks Chris, nice to have a bit of insider knowledge!

I've enjoyed it this year. My personal favourite is the M&G garden, total perfection for my taste. But also loved the little corner building, all dark inside behind a waterfall, with a kitchen full of orchids inside too. Wicked fun!
