    Morning Freddy

Sorry all this American jargon is confusing you ... 'ground' means as in a pestal and mortar, ie, crushed, chopped finely or similar. Across the big pond they say 'ground beef' for 'minced beef'. :WINK1:

I can't even be thinking about Jalapenos at the moment ... it's already 28c (low last night of 25c) and we went to 34c yesterday but we're supposed to cool down as the week continues. :phew:

I've just found this thread, as I was inspired to do more than just freeze this years chilli crop (still got loads left from last year!), having seen a lovely range of different chilli sauces and salsas at a farmers market yesterday. Great chat with the stall holder, but obviously he was not going to give away his trade secrets, especially to a novice grower who buys unnamed chilli plants from a garden centre :D.

So... Does anyone have any other chilli sauce or salsa recipes that I could use, to preserve these wonderful flavours? (Definitely going to try the sweet chilli sauce recipe!) I'm looking for something I can bottle, to use as a relish /sauce/salsa. If it helps, I'm fairly confident as a jam and chutney maker, but not tried sauces yet. Our chillies are moderately hot, being about 3-4 inches long, about 1/2 inch across at the neck, and one chilli added to a tomato pasta sauce makes a good spicy arabiata for two.

I have a recipe for Aji limo (Lemon Drop) salsa which I would share, except it appears to have disappeared from the internet. Ive probably got a printed out copy at home & will have enough of the lemon drops to make a batch at the end of the week with a bit of luck (and sun) so I will post up my version with a couple of pics.

Forgot where I said I would post this - you can find the recipe here: http://gardenerscorner.co.uk/forum/threads/chilli-growing-for-2013.48685/page-8
