    My peppers certainly do not look like that, mostly small weak looking things - I do not give them much pot time but right into the ground, sink or swim and then no care but erratic and likely excessive fertilizing. I buy 10-10-10 (40 pound bags of N,P2O5,KO2 at 10% each by weight) I use 2-3 bags a year on the trees on my properties spring and summer feedings so have a great bin of it. I really need something like 24-8-16 like Miracle grow because the P is slow to leach and messes up soil fertility where large amounts of compost are used - but I am too cheap to buy it so end up with leaf cirrhosis and stunted stuff - sort of fighting my self over lack of bothering to do it all right.

    But then I already produce too much so if my stuff looked as good as yours I would spend too much time trying to give it away instead of just tossing the bug eaten - yellow - stunted stuff over the fence where the chickens devour it.

    Interesting to note that you plant them in the ground. I guess cold weather isn't that much of an issue?

    @Freddy Thanks :blue thumb:

    Tabasco varieties are supposed to have the most juicy and tasty flesh. There are others that have distinct flavours (such as Naga) but the Tabasco have a very fresh flavour even when ripe - which the others don't.

        I dunno if I posted this already, but I went to a chilli farm in Devon, last year. They had a tunnel dedicated to showing off the different varieties, planted side by side. Wonderful colours, and a thing of beauty to behold:)

          I did think loosely about using underfloor heating materials and making my own heated pad

            That's what I would be looking at, but I'm certainly not an authority:)

            They're not big plants but they're in flower or already fruiting. I can put one aside for you. :blue thumb:
